All we need are:

the graphics -- 15 pixels by 15 pixels, transparent .pngs (so they'll blend with whatever background color we have the forums set for)
Suggested "codes" for typing them for those who don't want to use the drop-down menu (e.g. ":+:" and ":-:" and ":0:"....)

Any number of smiles can be easily added to the Forums. Image size can actually be anything, but most all the build in smiles range from 15x15 to 24x24 pixels. As Ann said, they are all PNG files. Also a text code equivalent is needed for each smile - for example <colon>cool<colon> for the    smile. Or <colon><right-parenthesis> for the regular smile   

Only a small portion of the available smiles for this forum have been made available.  For example, I just added the Zombie smiley (a 24x24 PNG) with the code <colon>dead<colon> for your amusement.

Ooh, I didn't know the smileys could be 24x24! 

If someone wants to create 3 images that are either 16x16 or 24x24 px of a plus, minus and blank Fudge die, I will add them as available smiles.
