It's widely known by now that the Google+ platform is being wound up; and following the announcement participation in the various communities there is certainly winding down.

Several alternatives have been suggested, but I was surprised that there seemed to be no mention of returning to this existing forum. When I mentioned it on the G+ Fudge community the comments seemed to be saying that the reason nobody posts here is because nobody posts here...

So how do we turn that around? Even when there is a post there is almost never any continuing discussion, often not even a single reply. There's an opportunity to bring people over now that the people on G+ are looking for somewhere to go, but what can we do to spread the word and entice them to contribute?
