Hey, guys,
In the FATE game, spending a Fate Point can get you a +2 bonus to your dice rolls. That's good for FATE, but FATE has a more expanded trait ladder and you really want to roll high, so you can get more shifts.
I'm not entirely sure if Fudge can handle that, tho. I want to do something similar, spend a Fudge Point to get a bonus (characters will have the equivalent to an Aspect), but I'm not sure how much of a bonus. I'm between +1 and +2.
Part of the consideration, I'm using the skill system from Marvelous Superheroes and the VG Fudge variant I mentioned in another post. However, I'd like to hear your thoughts on both plain vanilla Fudge as well as the variant.
Dankon,
Mike
+2 should work fine. Remember, FATE favors aspect stacking, where +4 and even +6 aren't all that uncommon, a mere +2 with a Fudge Point (which is more scarce than a FATE point most of the time anyways) is fine. For that matter, an automatic rolled +4 is suggested in the rules, which is way more powerful than a +2 anyways.
The [-] die.
+2 is pretty extreme in vanilla Fudge, so I guess the level of bonus depends on how free you are with Fudge points. I've also done a one Fudge point to one level increase in rolled result in some con games where Fudge points have flowed freely.
